Figure Drawing

 Join this local artist’s group as we hone our figure drawing skills. These 2 hour sessions feature a live nude model in timed poses ranging from 2 to 20 minutes.  Artists Anastasia Smith and David Horan alternate as facilitators for these sessions. This isn’t a class with instruction, but the facilitators provide quality feedback and direction as the artists work independently.  We’ve been working to develop regular figure drawing sessions in Rapid City for years, and the partnership with Shaviq has finally allowed us to have a regular time and venue.  We are very excited that the new owner will be continuing to support these sessions.  Come on out and join us!

Bring your own paper and drawing utensils- we have everything from traditional charcoal to oil paints in play at these session so don't feel shy! We've always got extra to share if you forget something and there are basic supplies for sale in the store.
